O.k. guys, this will be my quick summary over what has got over the last six weeks. As you will see, I will also being doing my 'writing' practices as you will soon see.
Oct 8th Saturday:
I spend GeekGirlCon day, coinciding using my first use for my Orca bus card to and from there. As most everyone knows, I carry too much stuff with my class homework. I got home, got dinner stuff, etc, and then I got another migraine in the evening. I think I've had an migraine this last spring, and then another in August, and while this has been unusual but not unknown, this time, I could only say either 'no' or 'maybe'.
Oct 9th Sunday:
So I took my migraine med and went to bed, but in the morning, I had another migraine and it wouldn't work at all. So, we were at the VCM ER by 11:00. We wound up admission me that late afternoon. Keep in mind that on a rate of 0 to 10 pain, my pain always only 1 to 2. There was a CT and a noncontrast MRI which initially ruled out a stroke, but thought it might be viral encephalitis or a solid tumor.
D. told my co-teacher that I wouldn't be in on Monday. D is typically not very detailed any way. ;-)
They made me wake up every 4 hours during the night. I was not very happy that Sun/Mon night and I told them that I would not permit them to continue for the other nights. Of course, I wound up waking myself up. A hospital is an awful place to try to get rest.
Oct 10th Monday:
Waiting for MRI results. My speech is a little better, but still not good yet. Dr. Pri. & his aide M, are both good and are willing to explain things to me. They ruled out the viral encephalitis but put back the possible stroke or a solid tumor.
Oct 11th Tuesday:
EEG (no glue) for 1 hour; no problems. But it included a strobe session at the end, which I have always have avoided since my 2nd migraine in 1977. My headache is down to about 0.5 level (on 0 to 10 rate). I really still don't talk much, but I AM ALWAYS THINK A LOT. I am still not getting any rest and this is a sucky place to spend time.
